These Terms of Service govern your use of the BaroBuddy mobile application. By using BaroBuddy, you agree to these terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using BaroBuddy, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.

Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to use the app and make purchases.

Description of Service

BaroBuddy is a weather tracking and pain prediction tool that:

• Tracks barometric pressure changes at your location
• Provides alerts when pressure changes are detected
• Helps you log and identify patterns between weather and pain symptoms
• Generates reports you can share with healthcare providers

What BaroBuddy Is Not

BaroBuddy is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or healthcare provider. BaroBuddy does not:

• Diagnose medical conditions
• Provide medical advice or treatment recommendations
• Replace consultations with qualified healthcare professionals
• Guarantee prediction accuracy

Always consult with your healthcare provider before making medical decisions. If you experience a medical emergency, call emergency services immediately.

License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use BaroBuddy for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the app
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Use the app for any illegal purpose
• Sell, rent, or sublicense access to the app
• Use the app in any way that could damage or impair the service

Subscriptions and Payments

BaroBuddy offers subscriptions with pricing displayed in the app at the time of purchase.

Subscription terms:

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel
• You can cancel anytime through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
• No refunds for partial subscription periods except as required by law
• Refunds are handled according to Apple and Google's refund policies

Free trials:

• Free trial durations are displayed at the time of subscription
• Your subscription begins when the free trial ends unless you cancel before then
• Canceling during the free trial prevents any charges

We may change subscription pricing with notice. Changes will not affect your current subscription period.

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate location permissions for weather data to function properly
• Keep your device and app updated for security
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account
• Use the app in compliance with all applicable laws
• Consult healthcare providers for medical decisions

You are responsible for:

• Any activity that occurs through your account
• Maintaining internet connectivity for features that require it
• Your device's battery and storage requirements

Privacy and Data

Your use of BaroBuddy is subject to our Privacy Policy at https://barobuddy.app/privacy.

You retain ownership of all health data you input into the app. We do not claim ownership of your pain logs, notes, or personal information.

Disclaimers

BaroBuddy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not guarantee that:

• The app will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Weather predictions will be accurate
• Alerts will always be delivered on time
• The service will meet your specific requirements

Weather data is provided by third-party services (Open-Meteo). We are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of weather data.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BaroBuddy and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Lost profits or data
• Personal injury or property damage
• Missed alerts or incorrect predictions
• Decisions made based on app data

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of BaroBuddy, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by BaroBuddy and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

User Content

You may choose to provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about BaroBuddy. We may use this feedback without any obligation to compensate you.

Any pain notes, journal entries, or other content you create in the app remain yours. We do not use your personal health data for marketing or product development.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to BaroBuddy immediately, without prior notice, for:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Requests by law enforcement or legal obligations

You may terminate your use of BaroBuddy at any time by deleting the app and canceling your subscription.

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the app ends immediately
• Your subscription will not be refunded except as required by law
• Your local data will be deleted when you uninstall the app
• Cloud backups will remain until you delete them from iCloud or Google Drive

Updates and Modifications

We may update or modify BaroBuddy at any time without notice. Updates may include:

• New features or functionality
• Bug fixes and improvements
• Changes to subscription pricing or terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by:

• Posting the updated terms in the app
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending a push notification for significant changes

Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the modified terms.

Third-Party Services

BaroBuddy integrates with third-party services (weather data providers, payment processors, cloud storage). Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or their policies.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution

For disputes related to BaroBuddy:

• If unresolved, disputes will be handled according to the dispute resolution procedures of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your platform

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and BaroBuddy regarding use of the app.
